President's Message
A note from the TVBC President
Welcome to the TVBC website. Whether you are new to honey bees or an experienced keeper, this website has information we hope you find valuable.
Our primary mission is education. Educated beekeepers are successful beekeepers. For beginners, this website has Beekeeping FAQs and information on costs, timing, and requirements. And for experienced people, we have our club presentations, videos, and a library of information. In addition, we offer classes through Community Education and are certified to teach Apprentice Beekeeping through Oregon State University.
Ask just about any member what their favorite part is, they will say the people. Bee people are just fun to bee with. So join us each month as we explore the practices that will make you a successful beekeeper. We have members who are new to the hobby, and members who have done it so long you’d swear they were born in a hive. For parents with young children, we have a Jr. Bee Club that meets at the same time as our regular monthly meetings.
Welcome to the best hobby in the world!
