Do you have a swarm in your yard? If yes, please keep on reading

Please Note:
The swarm catcher lists all Beekeepers who have volunteered to attempt to collect swarms of honey bees (they are wild critters, after all). Please be courteous when you contact them. Many work full time jobs and they will return your call as quickly as possible. Start by calling a volunteer in your location from the list below.

Those on the list operate as independent contractors in this activity and do not in any way represent T.V.B.C., nor operate under its auspices or control in providing this service. Treasure Valley Beekeepers Club provides this list only as a public service and does not endorse or recommend the qualifications of any named person appearing on it. Members of the public using the list do so at their own risk. If you are a T.V.B.C. member who is capturing a swarm, please review our swarm capture policy for a list of expectations and questions to ask.

Step One: Verify
Please be sure these are honey bees in your yard!

Step Two: Document
Your Swarm Catcher will want to know...

  1. Are they honey bees?
  2. Where is the swarm located?
  3. How high off the ground is the swarm?
  4. How long has the swarm been there?
  5. How big is the swarm? Baseball or basketball size, or bigger?
  6. Have you called anyone else?

Step Three: Get help

Take a breath.  You have time.  The bees will not attack you, and will stay in the swarm for several hours. Now,
We have partnered with Bee Swarmed to quickly notify the swarm catchers closest to you and get trained, knowledgeable help on the way. Click the button below and enter the location of the swarm and your contact information and you will be notified when someone is on their way.
